ALBERTA FLOOD RELIEF


Alberta Floods - How can you help?

PWRDF is providing a grant of $15, 000 to the Diocese of Calgary for immediate needs as those affected begin the long recovery process. Support will also be provided for the town of High River.
PWRDF is accepting donations for this response.

The diocese has identified three areas of priority.
Siksika First Nation:
1,000 people have been displaced
280 homes have been destroyed
There is no drinking water and they are now trucking it in.

Calgary Urban Projects Society (CUPS):
CUPS is providing basic needs – food, transportation and diapers for 70 clients who have been evacuated from their units.

Drop-In Centre:
Immediate needs include non-perishable food items, steel-toed work boots, toiletries, clothing and bedding
Donations are needed to replace a badly damaged industrial laundry.

EVENING PRAYER SERVICE

EVENING PRAYER at the Cathedral with the Most Rev. Fred Hiltz, Primate of the Anglican Church of Canada Sunday, June 16th at 5 pm. Archbishop Hiltz will be the preacher and will also be presenting Bud Smith with the Anglican Award of Merit for his ministry and service to the Diocese of Cariboo and the Anglican Parishes of the Central Interior. The new Pastoral Elders are being installed at the service as well.
